Our mission
Faradic comprise a group of scientists and technologists with specialist experience and knowledge
of electrochemical and Vacuum based systems for metallurgy operations such as Degassing,
Remelting and Alloy formation. Utilising their experience the Faradic team have formulated the
IET concept developed based on combining proven laboratory technology test and current
industrial processing to create a Novel approach to the extraction and alloying of metals.
The IET concept is based on the application of a generic two stage process for the Reduction of the
metallic ore and direct production of alloys, which is completely Environmentally Friendly, Energy
Efficient and Economic with low CAPEX and OPEX in comparison to existing systems.
The First Stage is the Electrochemical process is where the reduction is taken to pre-determined
point which varies for the elements being reduced, the Second Stage based on Vacuum process
typically remelting, alloying with degassing enabling high quality metal alloys to be produced to
international standards
The Electrochemical First Stage process enables one or more metal oxides to be reduced utilising
electrolysis with a high intensity Amperage with a low constant DC voltage. The selected electrolyte
being a molten neutral salt maintained at a high temperature that acts as the transport medium
for the passage of cations and anions, this Stage can be termed Direct Molten Salt Electrochemistry
